These six photos that I choose are the ones I feel like were my best work so far this year. In the first photo was the "painting with light" assignment. We used the bright lights and swung them around in a circle and took the picture of the lights as they were swinging. I think the viewer's eye goes all around the picture and follows the light. In the second photo was the self portrait I took of Gina. The light on Gina really shows her off and the grey background really makes a difference with the lighting. In the third photo was one of the first photos I took this year and it was for the line and shape assignment. The main staircase had multiple shapes that I felt stood out the most and was perfect for this assignment. In the fourth photo was the aperture and depth of field assignment. In this photo, I had the background in focus and foreground out. This was one of my favorite pictures I took for this assignment. The viewer's eye directly goes to the phone in the background because it's in focus. The fifth photo was for the utility lines assignment. This photo I felt was the best one that I took. You can see the utility lines and poles and the background with the trees, the nursing home, and the street. I used my iPhone to take this photo. The last picture is the photo I took for the pattern and texture assignment. I took this in the art gallery and felt like it was the perfect picture for this assignment. I used depth of field to take this photo as you can see that the paper flowers are in focus and the background is not. These photos were my strongest ones that I took this year and each had different ways of standing out.
